Thanks to your generous financial support United Way of Greater Texarkana is able to help fund the following programs in our community:

Habitat for Humanity Texarkana

Habitat for Humanity Texarkana partners with people in your community, to help them build or improve a place they can call home. Habitat homeowners help build their homes alongside volunteers and pay an affordable mortgage. With your support, Habitat homeowners achieve the strength, stability, and independence they need to build a better life for themselves and for their families.

Community Health Core-East Texas Veterans Resource Center

The Veteran's Program provides financial assistance, counseling and supported employment to Veterans that are homeless or at-risk of becoming homeless. This program can include the spouse of a veteran and counseling for children in the family.

Randy Sam's Outreach Shelter: Housing Program

The goal of the Randy Sam's Housing Program is to assist clients in meeting their immediate needs of food and shelter while providing them with the tools necessary to return to self-sustained community living.

Texarkana Resources for the Disabled: Employment Services and Community Living Programs

Supported Employment Services Program works to assist persons with disabilities in obtaining integrated community employment in order to help them live independently sustained lives through earned income. This will enable individuals with disabilities to live independent lives where they are contributors to their community. Texarkana Resources Community Living Program, through independent living training and support, is designed to assist adults ages 18 and over with developmental and intellectual disabilities to acquire, retain, and improve their independence.
